Our artists set the standard for professionals in their respective fields, and for arts educators. Each has a unique set of skills that we draw upon for our programs. Our pool of artists number over four dozen in all fields of the performing arts.   • David Bollar

    Playwright and Actor

    As a certified teacher in the Philadelphia schools, David is a super peer" who is impressive to kids because of his size (6'4"), his powerful voice, and charismatic presence. These same attributes he brings to his craft as an actor. He has performed for the People's Light and Theatre Company and Philadelphia's Freedom Theatre. Arts For Anyone has commissioned a new work for touring purposes from Mr. Bollar entitled What Do You Think About Me Now? - an examination of minority youth experience.

  • Kate Coffman

    Soprano

    Ms. Coffman was chosen by Marvin Hamlisch to appear in his upcoming new musical Sweet Smell of Success. This is not surprising given the fact that she is a first class musician, excellent actress, and a dependable professional. These qualities have been employed in numerous musicals such as Side Show, Master Class, Godspell, and the Scarlet Pimpernel on Broadway and regional theatres throughout the country.

  • Connie Koppe

    Lyricist and Co-Founder

    As are so many in the theatrical field, Ms. Koppe is involved in many and varied aspects of the arts. An accomplished voice teacher, she is a certified instructor in the Linklater technique which has proven to be of great value for the proper use of the voice for any performer or person whose effective use of the voice is vital to their career - such as teachers. Ms. Koppe is also in demand as a singer, actress, and costume designer. She presently teaches at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.

  • Sean McCourt

    Lyricist and Actor

    Sean was last seen on Broadway in the musical Titanic. He has performed in over a dozen productions Off-Broadway and has toured extensively with the National Shakespeare Company. In addition to be an interpretive artist as an actor, Sean has branched out as a composer and playwright. He has appeared on Sesame Street and has written a new family musical entitled Galileo's Telescope.

  • Kristen Plumley

    Soprano

    Like her fellow colleagues who work with Arts For Anyone, Ms. Plumley's talents span a diverse repertoire of operatic, music theatre and operetta roles. Leading the peripatetic life of a singer, she goes from one end of the continent (the Banff Centre in Canada) to the other (New York City Opera). She recently made her European debut as Yum-Yum in Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado in Edinburgh, Scotland.

  • Gregory Rahming

    Baritone

    Mr. Rahming is a "crossover" artist who is equally at home in Opera (national and international companies), on Broadway (On the Town), the Concert Stage (New York Festival of Songs), and Gospel. His career in Europe brought him to the attention of composer Werner Henze who personally chose Mr. Rahming to create one of the principal roles in his new opera El Cimarron for the Munich Biennale. Maestro Henze called Gregory Rahming's portrayal "a tour-de-force performance."

  • Loren Sherman

    Designer

    After graduating from Yale School of Drama and with honors from UC Berkeley, Mr. Sherman has been one of this country's most prolific and highly regarded scenic designers. A winner of an Obie Award for sustained excellence, he has designed productions for Broadway (e.g. Shogun, Private Lives, Romeo and Juliet), Off-Broadway (e.g. Those the River Keeps by David Rabe), over a dozen plays for the New York Shakespeare Festival, appeared as a regular designer for Playwrights Horizons, and designs for most of the most prestigious regional theatres in the Unites States such as the Kennedy Center, Arena Stage, Long Wharf Theatre, and the Seattle Repertory Theatre. His deep interest in the future of the arts comes from the birth of his two school aged children.

  • Bruce D. Taylor

    Program Director and Co-Founder

    Mr. Taylor laid his theatrical foundation at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London, England. Since graduating, he has been hired in almost every capacity that can be found in professional theatre. While pursuing his vocation as a production manager and stage director, his avocation was working with teachers and kids as part of his desire to do his part to ensure the future for the arts. His skills have been utilized by dozens of companies as diverse as the O'Neill Theatre Center, the New York Philharmonic, Royal Opera House (London), Pacific Northwest Dance, Wagner's RING Festival in Seattle, and the Orchestra of St. Luke's in New York City. He is the originator of the internationally recognized Creating Original Opera, now managed by Education at the Met in New York City.
