Educational Programs
We presently offer three main programs and have implemented well over a hundred of them in the past ten years. They are:
Living Bookshelf uses a book from the Reading Curriculum for each class across a grade level to create original Music-Theatre scenes, in collaboration with our composers and lyricists, which are then performed by professional artists from the worlds of Broadway and Opera.
Living Images brings to life a unit within the Social Studies Curriculum (e.g. Civil Rights, the Holocaust, Westward Expansion, the Great Depression, etc.) through the use of contemporary artistic artifacts (e.g. music, theatre, visual art, poetry, literature, etc.) and original artistic work.
Global Neighborhood connects our students with those in another country to collaborate on a common arts project over the Internet on the theme of "community." Developed at Princeton University as a collaboration between our company and the Arts Council of England, this project has been implemented with schools in England, Australia, and Turkey.
